Launched Monday, March 22, 2010, a new program to help homeowners in Placer County afford energy efficient upgrades such as Solar Power Systems, New Cool Roofing, HVAC, and new windows by loaning the homeowner at a rate of 7.25% the full amount for their project.  Payments are added to the homeowners tax bill over a span of 5, 10, 15 or 20 years.  And, the loan is transferrable to a new owner should you sell your home.
